Господин Валик — ещё один персонаж сказки «Городок в табакерке», написанной русским писателем В.Ф. Одоевским. Колокольчики считают его добрым и хорошим, потому что день и ночь тот проводит на диване и не сходит с него. Он их не задевает и не обижает.
Придя к надзирателю, Миша увидел, что Валик и в самом деле диван не покидает. Одет он в халат, усеянный шпильками и множеством крючков. Цилиндр этот постоянно с боку на бок поворачивается, только лицо у него всегда сверху. Как только он повернётся, крючок на его халате зацепляет молоток, а потом отпускает, а молоточек-то и ударяет по колокольчику.
Любимая поговорка: «Шуры-муры!». Считает себя великодушным и добросердечным. В глазах мальчика он злой и бездушный, так как из- за него страдают мальчики — колокольчики. На самом деле господин Валик покорный, смирный и добродушный.
