Страна лжи придумана современным писателем. Попасть в неё можно прочитав его сказку «Иванка в стране лжи» Попала девочка туда, после того, как обманула нищенку. Её вдруг обволокло непроницаемым туманом и она очутилась в неизвестном ей месте. Как позже выяснилось, она оказалась в Стране лжи.
Жители этой страны никогда не говорили правду, они произносили только ложь. Таковы были законы короля, которого звали Лгун 17. Дома у людей были убогие, да и сам народ ходил в лохмотьях. Министры забирали у жителей всё, что было можно, народ бедствовал, казна короля была пуста. А ему докладывали, что подданные живут в достатке.
В магазинах больше трёх продуктов брать было нельзя. Товар продавался за ложь, а не за деньги. Иванка купила за ложь газету и узнав, кто правит страной, решила идти прямо к королю. По пути ей удалось выиграть конкурс лгунов, хотя говорила только правду. Наградой оказался обед с Лгуном 17.
Ей удалось убедить короля, что надо встать на путь правды и добра. Король, в знак согласия с ней, в этот же день издал новый закон : все должны говорить только правду.
